My shop is now open on folksy-again!

29 May

I’ve been stitching two random quilts to sell at my folksy shop. I really love folksy, the ethos behind it and of course all the fabulous makers and their products. Sooooo I thought it was high time that I reactivated my folksy shop and rejoined the community. I call these random quilts because of all the fabrics I have stitched into it-the design, I hope, is rather more considered! I had some ‘extra’ sumptuous velvet from my Harris tweed quilts to use and was inspired by the mixture of fabrics on my shelves that were begging to be stitched together. Here are some pics;

PS As I had some fabric leftover from making the quilts I have made some v.useful drawstring bags to house the quilts in when not in use-as if that will ever happen-well I hope not!

My Desk Now (see My Desk Before on this board)  Little French chair with Cole & Son's fab geometric wallpaper   This is Flossie - she's a curvy, sassy flapper girl, who loves dancing at Palm Court and smoking cigarettes from holders (in my imagination of course)  Beautiful rare French chair upholstered in Designers Guild Royal Collection fabrics; we call her The Duchess as she's rather very grand.  Bloke's hunting scene room-set (but the wife got involved and made him have silk curtains)  The design area

On another note, I have just starting a new Patchwork and Quilting series at Beetlefelt studios.
