More handprints collected at the CAF12 Arts and Crafts Fair at St C

22 May

It’s Chorlton Arts Festival 2012! Check http://www.chorltonartsfestival.com for the latest news and listings.

Carol Mowl from Beetlefelt studios (www.beetlefelt.co.uk) and I shared a stall at the Arts and Crafts Market at St Clement’s church last Saturday. I was collecting more handprints for the All hands Together To: project I am running to celebrate 500 years of St Clements.

I was really chuffed when Cath.P brought along a beautifully machine embroidered hand for the collection. Thanks Cath. I think I must have at least 300 hands now!

Brush Your Teeth!

16 May

Have just finished my ‘teeth’ commission for K2 ward at Alder Hey Children’s hospital in Liverpool. The ‘Brush Your Teeth’ poster is to encourage patients to look after their teeth. Do you think it does? As K2 is a cardiac ward it is really important that all the patients have healthy teeth, as otherwise their surgery might have to be delayed! It’s been a toothy learning curve for me and as ever I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the kids on K2 to create this artwork.
