I’ve had lots of fun working again with Avenue Crafters and Crumpsall Craft Crew, plus Full Circle&friends from Oldham Coliseum stitching a patchwork stage backdrop for Lip Service’s hilarious new comedy Mr Darcy Loses the Plot, inspired by the works of Jane Austen.
Thanks to everyone who got involved with this patchwork challenge and if you are interested in adding to this magnificent stage backdrop, just visit Lip Services website for all the info.
Another glorious family day workshop at Royal Northern College of workshop yesterday with kids and their adults. Lots of fab Sound Sticks created inspired by Matisse cut outs. Thank you to everyone who came and took part. Lots of familar faces now š Next up is World Book Day at RNCM on 26th June. See you there x
It’s that exciting time of of year end, and on the cusp of a new one. If you fancy learning a new practical skill in 2014, check out;
http://www.beetlefelt.co.uk/index.html for lots of ideas.
PS There’s always excellent tea, chat and home made cake as well, as part of every workshop. What’s not to like.
Such a pleasure to work with Mandy and Lara at the Beetlefelt studios on another Patchwork and Quilting series.
A month of Monday evenings stitching and chatting and learning new skills, as well as drinking tea and eating cake are definitely a couple of enjoyable hours well spent.
And for all of you tempted there is a new patchwork and Quilting series running at Beetlefelt Studios in February, as well as an AppliquƩ series running in March. Go to http://www.beetlefelt.co.uk/workshops.html to book onto these workshops.
Hope to see you there. Lx
Sadly another Patchwork and Quilting series at Beetlefelt Studios finished on Monday night. But what can I say; we all enjoyed the chat and also got some stitiching done too!
My Patchwork and Quilting series of four evening classes is a whistle stop introduction to Patchwork and Quilting techniques. Inbetween the chat there are lots of Patchwork demonstrations, with an idea to develop these into a future project.
Lots more creative workshops are on at Beetlefelt studios.
See; http://www.beetlefelt.co.uk/workshops.html
See you soon x
My Monday evenings are currently filled really pleasantly teaching on the new applique series at Carol’s Beetlefelt studios;
More of my workshops can be found at; www.beetlefelt.co.ukĀ
And here are some applique stitchpics I made earlier;
And here is an appliqued elephant cushion-I think it will be used to advertise the next series of applique at Beetlefelt due to cute pic of puss!
